Latino Community Action Research Resources

Latino scholars in the US and the Southwest Border are engaged in research projects that combine the New American University principles of engaging communities in research partnerships. These new models of respectful, equitable and community-university partnerships have produced innovative programs driven by community need while generating research that provides insight into successful data collection, research results and meaningful policy.

Latino Education and Wealth Research

The foundational building blocks for wealth and asset accumulation are educational assets such as a high school diploma, a university undergraduate degree, a master's degree, a professional degree and a doctoral degree. Education assets will never be repossed nor will they be subject to foreclosure proceedings. Research that tracks and deciphers the relationship between educational attainment and wealth building is part of family and community asset building policies.
